Making Your Shakuhachi Cleaning Cloth (tsuyutõshi)
a square of  light cotton cloth about the size of your shakuhachi (40 - 50cm square) the string used in some curtains is suitable. It should be about 20cm longer than your shakuhachi use a small rounded metal or wooden bead on the end.
