SHAKUHACHI CHAMBER MUSIC COMPOSITION COMPETITION RESULTS

For the 2010 competition, composers were invited to submit compositions for any combination of: Shakuhachi with Piano Trio (Piano, Violin and Cello).
Entries were received from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, Cyprus, Greece, Hong Kong, Iran, Italy, Japan, USA & Venezuela.
The winning compositions are:

SHAKUHACHI CHAMBER MUSIC INTERNATIONAL PRIZE 2010
Adrian Hon Chung Lam (Hong Kong) : "Separated... at the Human Labyrinth of Asakusa Temple"
SECOND PRIZE Michalis Keffalas (Greece) : "Aegean Moments"
THIRD PRIZE Amirhossein Eslami Mirabadi (Iran) : "Seasons"

Anyone can study Shakuhachi at The University of Melbourne
You can study shakuhachi under the Community Access Program (CAP) and experience the benefits of expert tuition at the University of Melbourne. Applications are now being accepted for Semester 2, 2010. The course, conducted in group form, is most suitable for absolute beginners.
